Creamy Banana Nice Cream (Printable Version)

A creamy frozen dessert made from blended bananas. Naturally sweet, dairy-free, and ready in minutes.

# Ingredient List:

→ Fruit

01 - 3 ripe bananas

→ Optional Add-Ins

02 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
03 - 1–2 tbsp plant-based milk (as needed for blending)
04 - 1 tbsp peanut butter or cocoa powder (optional)

→ Toppings (Optional)

05 - Fresh berries
06 - Chopped nuts
07 - Chocolate chips

# How to Make:

01 - Peel the bananas and slice them into even rounds. Arrange the slices in a single layer in an airtight, freezer-safe container. Freeze for at least 2 hours or until completely solid.
02 - Transfer the frozen banana slices to a high-powered blender or food processor. Pulse until the bananas break down into a crumbly texture, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
03 - Continue blending until the mixture transforms into a smooth, creamy consistency. If the blades struggle to catch, add 1 tablespoon of plant-based milk to loosen the mixture.
04 - For flavored nice cream, add vanilla extract, peanut butter, or cocoa powder to the blend. Process again until all add-ins are fully incorporated.
05 - Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture. For a firmer, scoopable consistency, transfer the mixture to a container and freeze for 1 additional hour.
06 - Top with fresh berries, chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or any preferred toppings. Serve and enjoy immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It tastes like actual ice cream but its just bananas, which still feels like sorcery.
  • You can have dessert ready in under ten minutes with zero cooking and zero guilt.
02 -
  • Under-ripe bananas taste grassy and flat, so wait until the peels are heavily spotted or even fully brown before freezing.
  • Do not rush the blending stage because the crumbly phase feels discouraging but it always breaks through if you keep going and scrape patiently.
03 -
  • Freeze banana slices in a single layer on parchment paper before transferring to a bag so they never freeze into an unbreakable lump.
  • If the mixture gets too soft while blending, pop the whole blender jar into the freezer for five minutes and then finish processing.
