# How to Make:

01 - Whisk together hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger in a small bowl until fully combined.
02 - Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground chicken and cook, breaking apart with spatula, until browned and cooked through, approximately 5–7 minutes.
03 - Pour firecracker sauce over cooked chicken. Stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens and evenly coats the meat. Remove from heat.
04 - Divide cooked rice among four serving bowls, creating an even base layer in each.
05 - Top each rice bowl with firecracker chicken. Arrange shredded carrots, cucumber, bell pepper, and green onions around the chicken.
06 - Sprinkle sesame seeds over each bowl. Add optional cilantro, avocado, or extra sauce as desired. Serve immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Its the kind of meal that looks impressive but comes together in under 30 minutes on a busy weeknight
  • The sweet and spicy sauce clings to every bite of chicken while crisp vegetables keep things fresh and light
02 -
  • The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools, so remove it from heat while it still looks slightly loose
  • Ground turkey or plant-based mince work perfectly here if chicken is not your thing
03 -
  • Grate the garlic and ginger instead of mincing for a smoother sauce that distributes more evenly
  • Let the chicken get deeply browned in spots before adding the sauce—those crispy bits add incredible flavor
