01 - In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, grated ginger, and lime juice. Mix well and set aside.

04 - Stir in bell pepper, carrot, green onions, and chili if using. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
05 - Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetable mixture. Toss to combine and cook for another 2 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
06 - Remove the skillet from heat. Spoon the chicken mixture into individual lettuce leaves. Garnish with cilantro, mint, chopped peanuts, and an extra squeeze of lime if desired. Serve immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The balance of salty, sweet, and spicy flavors keeps every bite exciting.
  • It comes together in under 40 minutes, making it perfect for busy weeknights.
02 -
  • Drain any excess liquid before adding the sauce so the filling does not get soggy.
  • Butter lettuce works best because iceberg is too thick and romaine cracks too easily.
03 -
  • Chill the lettuce cups in the fridge for an hour before serving to make them extra crisp.
  • Toast the peanuts in a dry pan for a few minutes to deepen their flavor before garnishing.
